Senegal: Market and business opportunities.

Senegal is one of West Africa’s stable and dynamic markets. Population growth, urbanisation and rising demand for public services are increasing investment needs in the water and wastewater sector.

Urban drinking water supply is relatively well developed, while wastewater services and access in peri-urban and rural areas still have significant gaps. Demand includes water treatment, wastewater solutions, networks and rehabilitation, pumps and valves, and decentralised systems.

Public programmes and internationally financed infrastructure projects give German technology providers, engineers and operators access to concrete projects and long-term partnerships.
