2. General information

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website, respond to enquiries, or take pre-contractual and contractual measures. The relevant legal bases include, in particular, Article 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) GDPR. Where we ask for consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.

3. Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted by Hostinger. Depending on the booked contract, the contracting entity and processor is in particular Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos Street, 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus. Hostinger processes data on our behalf where required for hosting, infrastructure and, where applicable, email services.

When you access the website, technically necessary server log data are processed. These may include the IP address, date and time, requested resource, referrer URL, browser and operating-system information, hostname and HTTP status code. The processing is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably, diagnose errors and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of our online services.

Log data are deleted or anonymised once they are no longer needed for these purposes, unless statutory obligations or the investigation of a specific security incident require longer retention. Hostinger may use sub-processors. According to its documentation, Hostinger relies in particular on EU Standard Contractual Clauses where transfers outside the European Economic Area are necessary. Further information: Hostinger Data Processing Addendum.

4. Contact and contact form

If you contact us by email, phone or the contact form, we process the information you provide to review and answer your enquiry. Form data may include your name, company or organisation, email address, optional telephone number, subject, project or target market and message.

For contract-related enquiries, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other enquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to communicate appropriately and initiate business relationships. Recipients are limited to the responsible internal team members and the processors used for hosting and email.

The form is provided with Contact Form 7. We use a locally operating honeypot field to prevent spam. Under the current configuration, submissions are not additionally stored in a WordPress entries database, and neither hCaptcha nor Google reCAPTCHA is loaded. The information is sent by email to the responsible mailboxes.

We delete enquiries once they have been fully dealt with and no further communication, contractual relationship or statutory retention obligation applies. If a contractual relationship arises, the required data are retained for the applicable commercial and tax-law periods.

5. Cookies and consent management

We use technically necessary cookies or similar storage technologies where required to provide a digital service expressly requested by you. Access to your device is based on Section 25(2) TDDDG, and subsequent processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

For non-essential technologies, we request prior consent through Complianz. The legal bases are Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Your choice is stored so it can be respected on future visits. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through “Manage consent” in the footer.

Details of categories, purposes and storage periods are available in our Cookie Policy.

6. Technical operation of the website

WordPress, Polylang and caching

The website is based on WordPress. Polylang provides the language versions, and LiteSpeed Cache supports faster and more stable delivery. These components may process technically necessary cookies as well as cache and log data. They are not used by us for advertising or user profiling.

Locally hosted fonts and image optimisation

The web fonts used on this website are served locally from our server. Your browser therefore does not connect to Google Fonts when a page is loaded. Images are technically optimised and delivered through our website.

External links

Our website contains links to external services, in particular LinkedIn. A connection to those providers is established only when you open the relevant link. From that point, the external provider is responsible for its own processing.

7. Recipients and international transfers

We disclose personal data only where this is necessary to perform a contract, answer your enquiry, comply with a legal obligation, or use a processor under a data-processing agreement. Recipient categories include hosting, infrastructure and email providers as well as the responsible internal team members.

Personal data are transferred outside the European Economic Area only where the requirements of Articles 44 et seq. GDPR are met, for example on the basis of an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Retention

Unless a specific period is stated in this policy, we retain personal data only for as long as the relevant purpose continues. We then delete or anonymise the data unless statutory retention duties, legitimate evidentiary interests, or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims require longer retention.

9. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may also object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, contact info@globaliaconnect.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The authority with particular responsibility for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia, PO Box 20 04 44, 40102 Düsseldorf, Germany, www.ldi.nrw.de.

10. Data security

We use TLS encryption and appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access. Completely risk-free transmission over the internet cannot, however, be guaranteed.

11. Updates to this policy

We update this Privacy Policy when the legal framework, the website or the services we use change.
