Globalia Connect and LibLeo Global organise this innovation tour to London and Cambridge on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE). The tour forms part of the Healthcare Export Initiative and takes place under the Market Entry Programme for SMEs.
The focus is direct access to innovation: practical AI applications, leading research and innovation centres, and professional exchange with experts from academia, industry, healthcare and technology.

The London–Cambridge corridor brings together internationally renowned AI research, leading universities, NHS-linked innovation structures, HealthTech start-ups, investors, life-sciences companies and clinical research. It offers German companies direct insight into how innovations are developed, tested and brought into healthcare practice.

Five days of research, application and innovation.
The programme follows three stages: Explore · Exchange · Transfer. The final meetings and visits will be selected around the innovation needs of the participating companies.
Preparatory workshop & individual innovation briefings
Identify individual innovation needs, objectives and questions. Prepare for the UK market, relevant organisations and the planned meetings.
London · country briefing & innovation workshop
An introduction to the UK healthcare, AI and innovation ecosystems, NHS and HealthTech structures, and the regulatory environment. Participants then refine their individual innovation questions.
London · AI research, healthcare & innovation
Group and reference visits are planned, including meetings in the networks of the Alan Turing Institute, King’s Health Partners / King’s AI Centre and the innovation ecosystem around King’s Cross.
Cambridge · life sciences & applied innovation
Visits include the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and the Babraham Research Campus as well as conversations with selected HealthTech and life-sciences organisations. Individual expert and cooperation meetings complement the programme.
Cambridge · Tech & Innovation Forum
Planned in the area of the Bradfield Centre / Cambridge Science Park: expert input, discussion of specific innovation questions, company contributions and structured networking with UK innovators.
Cambridge · in-depth meetings & innovation transfer
Further individual expert meetings and a joint closing workshop: Which technologies and approaches matter? Which contacts should be followed up? What are the next steps?
The final programme will reflect the participating companies and their individual innovation interests. Meetings, reference visits and other activities will be confirmed accordingly. Programme changes remain possible.

The tour is aimed especially at German SMEs and start-ups developing, applying or strategically advancing AI-based products, technologies or services for healthcare.

* Participation fees are subject to statutory VAT. Travel, accommodation and meal expenses are not included.
